Barrie Midwives provides primary care throughout pregnancy, labour and birth, and for six weeks postpartum.
Midwives have been providing care in this community since 1986. In 1993 when legislation was passed, the Royal Victoria Hospital in Barrie was one of the first in Ontario to offer Registered Midwives privileges. Since then, midwives have cared for women and newborns in both home and hospital settings with costs covered by the Ministry of Health.
We are proud to carry the name Barrie Midwives, and to serve our community here in Simcoe County.
